Successful applications will have to attend the It’s Up 2 U Event to display projects and to pitch for votes from members of the public
COMMUNITY and voluntary projects in Chester-le-Street can apply for a share of £25,000.
The town’s area action partnership, part of Durham County Council, has launched their It’s Up 2 U Community Grants Scheme, which is open until February 3.
The first priority areas focusses on the development of the town centre into an attractive place for people to visit.
The second centres around health, children, young people and families and welfare reform.
Priority areas in environment and community safety target issues such as dog fouling and littering.
