THE emotional distress charity Samaritans will hold an information session next week aimed at those affected by the 'post-Christmas' blues.
On Monday, January 13, those living in and around Northallerton will be encouraged to speak to Samaritans volunteers.
Described as 'Brew Monday' to coincide with Blue Monday, it is hoped those feeling down will be encouraged to seek support from the charity.
On Wednesday, North Yorkshire County Councillor Greg White hailed the efforts of the charity as 'valuable' as the service returned to Northallerton for another year.
He said: “Once again we are delighted to invite the Samaritans into the library as they provide a valuable service to those in need of extra help in the New Year.
“Our libraries offer year-round support with a range of self-help guides. They also boast Reading Well collections for mental health, dementia and long-term conditions as well as books for teenagers.”
The session takes place from 10am to 2pm at Northallerton library.
