AROUND 300 children were evacuated after a blaze broke out at their Newcastle school this morning.
Two fire-engines attended Ponteland County High School in Callerton Lane after a fire started in a workshop dust extraction unit at 11.34am.
No-one was injured in the blaze, which was believed to be fairly minor.
