MORE than 40 people will take part in a Nativity drama at Elm Ridge Methodist Church this weekend.

Darlington Methodist Circuit has organised the drama which involves a route around the church premises, with different areas representing different scenes in the Nativity story.

Visitors will be able to meet Mary as she listens to a message from an angel, take part in the Bethlehem census, sample food and try crafts in the market place, and meet the innkeeper and his family.

They will also travel to the hillside to hear the shepherds and their sheep, and greet the newborn baby Jesus in the stable.

The tour is free for visitors and takes about 40 minutes.

Coordinator Brian Simpson said: "Darlington Methodist Circuit have been busy organising the Nativity Drama.

"There are over 40 people in the cast list, and the event is entirely free, with refreshments served after the tours."

One of the 'Wise Men' will lead visitors through the entire story, from Nazareth to the stable in Bethlehem.

The story is told through the eyes of the Wise Men as they travel towards Bethlehem.

Those attending will also be able to meet the astronomers and gaze at the stars.

People wanting to attend the event need to book as this is essential. To book, phone 01325-282491 or email: admin@darlingtongcircuit.org.uk
