POLICE have appealed for information after graffiti was spraypainted on the wall of a church.
It is believed St Joseph's Catholic Church, in Durham Road, Ushaw Moor, Durham, was targeted overnight on Friday.
PC Liam Padget said the culprit had used spray paint to write an obscene message in large letters above the church door.
He said: "The words used were very offensive. People will have been appalled that it was defaced in this way."
