NEW offices for social care teams in County Durham were opened yesterday.
The building, on Greencroft Industrial Park, in Annfield Plain, near Stanley, will be the base for Durham County Council social care staff working with people in the Consett and Stanley areas.
It replaces the former separate offices in Stanley and Consett and will accommodate teams working with children and adults.
Durham County Council chairwoman Councillor Edna Hunter, who opened the building, said: "I am very pleased to be opening these offices. The staff who will be based here carry out very important jobs within the community, and these offices will give them a modern and well-equipped base."
