Middleton Rangers U14's 8 V Stokesley "B" 1 Table toppers Middleton played their best football of the season in this convincing 8-1 victory. The scoring started when Rangers top scorer Taylor Cardus ran on to a cross and slammed the ball in to the top of the net for an early 1-0 lead. There was then an intense period of Middleton pressure with Richard Herrington just missing the target twice. In the 18th minute Taylor Cardus popped up again on the edge of the box to drive Rangers second goal home 2-0. Jack Binks further increased Middletons lead to 3-0 with a well timed run to head home form a corner. With only a couple of minutes to half time Stokelsey pulled a goal back for a half time score of 3-1 to Rangers.

Second half saw more Middleton dominance leading to a short corner being quickly taken, the cross was swung in and was despatched into the net by Beej Turnbull for a 4-1 Rangers lead. Mike Noble then lobbed the Stokesley keeper for team-mate Ryan Gayle's to run in and head the ball home for a 5-1 Rangers lead. Mike Noble increased Rangers lead to 6-1 smashing the ball home at close range. In the late stages of the game Liam Gent further increased Rangers lead after a long range cross drifted into the roof of Stokesley net for a 7-1 lead. The game finished with a quick Beej Turnbull corner to Middletons Craig Abbott who struck a great shot into the Stokesley net for a final score of 8-1 to Rangers.

This game saw some of Middletons best passing of the season, a strong defensive unit competed well throughout the game, the midfield were extremely dominant, and the forwards took wave upon wave of attacks to the heart of Stokesleys defence.

Middleton Rangers Under 10 A team sponsored by Alan Sewell Ltd faced second in the table Darlington TSC. Rangers battled hard in all areas of the pitch but couldn't contain the opposition.TSC ran out winners 6- 0 . Man of the Match for Rangers was defender and captain Ben Ballantyne.

Middleton Rangers U10"B" vs East Durham Harriers Rangers are top of the league and Harriers were in fourth. The matched could be a tough challenge. The match was underway and it was presure from the outset from Rangers, the scoring was soon opened with a lovely sweet shot from Lewis Rees, The pressure was continuing and Rangers passing and flowing movement was fantastic, the constant pressure soon started to pay more dividends and a quick FOUR goals from Nathan Stephenson, the pick of these was a header from a lovely cross from Lewis Macdonald, this stretched the lead to 5 at the break. The second half started and it was more of the great passing by Rangers,the goal tally was soon increased with goals from Lewis Rees, and a quick finish from Davy Parker. Near the end Harriers got a consolation goal to leave the score 7 - 1 but a last minute goal from Davy Parker left the final score at 8 - 1. A lovely passing and flowing game with a deserved victory.

Middleton Rangers U10 "B" vs East Durham Tornados This was a top vs bottom clash, Rangers were looking to strengthen their goal difference. The match started and as predicted it was one way traffic all the way, Ranger's could not break the deadlock, The Tornados were camped in the goal mouth and it was pin ball and the game was scrappy around the Tornados box. It wasn't until Rangers tried to stretch the game and drag Tornados out of the box. It was this change in tact that soon brought about the breakthrough, Nathan Stephenson opened the scoring, now the Rangers were up and running, further goals from Lewis Macdonald, Kieron Cormack and Lewis Rees saw the first half end at 4 - 0. The half time team talk concentrated on the Rangers playing their own passing flowing game. the game restarted, it was all one way traffic, as a second half summary Rangers dominated the game, goal tallies were:- FOUR for Davy Parker, FOUR for Max Tennant, Two for Nathan Stephenson, One for Lewis Rees, and the goal of the match was a long range clearance from the Rangers own half that looped over the keeper into the back of the net, a lovely clearance from Callum Bates and a contender for Goal of the Season. Final score 16 - 0, a healthy advance to the goal difference.

Middleton Rangers played Darlington TSC in a Durham Cup 1st Round game and for the 2nd week running were forced to make changes due to unavailability but gave their all despite losing 2-4.

Rangers opened the scoring after 5 minutes after a mazy Jonathan Keech run ended with the keeper fouling him and Gavin Watson stroked home the penalty with no problem into the bottom corner.The lead was held untill luck deserted Rangers as a shot was deflected wickedly past Robin Page for1-1.

As Middleton were regrouping TSC took full advantage to score again to lead 2-1 at half time.

With the tempo of the game upped Rangers drew level as a lively keech shot was paried and usual keeper Daniel Gladstone notched his 2nd of the season by following the shot in.Both sides then missed further chances untill with the game nearing completion TSC scored twice to progress to Round 2.

Rangers took great heart from the game though as 8 regulars were unavailable and the team battled on untill the end.Man of the Match went to Sam Notman in his unfamiliar central defensive role.
