AN elerley man had a large amount of money stolen from him after the left a bank.
The victim withdrew a large amount of money from the Co-op bank in Durham City on Tuesday, November 12 at around 10.30am, he left the bank and on his return at 11.15am he noticed the sum was missing.
Police investigating the theft believe the suspect removed the money while the victim was walking around the city centre.
Officers have now released CCTV footage of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
She is described as being of medium build, with dark hair wearing a dark coat and dark woollen hat.
Anyone who recognises the woman in the CCTV or has any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101 quoting reference number 251 of November 13, or alternatively to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111.
