ROADS near to School Aycliffe will be closed as part of improvement works taking place from Monday.
Darlington Borough Council, which is carrying out the works, has advised drivers and pedestrians to be aware of the temporary road closures on School Aycliffe Lane.
On September 23, 24 and October 3 it will be closed between The Chestnuts and West Cemetery, between 7am and 6pm, while on September 25, 26 and 27 it will be closed overnight from 7pm to 6am between Preston Road and West Cemetery. On September 24, 28 and 29 the closure will be between Preston Road and the Ineos staff entrance, and on September 30 and October 1 it will between the Ineos staff entrance and West Cemetery, both closures overnight from 7pm to 6am. Diversions will be in place.
The number 17 bus service will terminate at Horndale Avenue (south east bound) and resume at Horndale Avenue (north west bound) at the usual times.
