TWO men have been arrested after police stopped their car and found a quantity of drugs and offensive weapons.
At around 4:05am on Monday, September 9, police stopped the car on Bradhope Road in Middlesbrough.
Officers then seized a quantity of suspected class A and B drugs as well as a large amount of cash.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in the possession of class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, acquiring/using/possessing criminal property and for possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
A 22-year-old man, believed to be the driver, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession with intent to supply class B drugs, also possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
Police said both men remain in custody while enquiries continue.
