ELVIS Presley has been replicated in edible form by a hotel chef in North Yorkshire.
Ashley McCarthy, who works at The Sun Inn in Colton, near York, produced the 5ft tall model using a mix of Belgian white, dark and milk chocolate in about a week.
The impressive Elvis replica was designed and used as a centre piece at a surprise party for Ms McCarthy’s colleague and Elvis “superfan” Tim Bolton who has cancer.
Before the surprise party, all 45 kilograms of Belgian chocolate had to be transported to the venue in a horse box because of its sheer size.
Ms McCarthy said the Elvis replica was also designed as a wacky effort to raise awareness for Cancer Research UK.
