A MAN has been taken to hospital after his vehicle rolled over in an incident in Thornaby.
Redcar Road was closed both ways, from Thornaby Road to Thorntree Road, following a road traffic collision at around 11am.
Police officers closed the area while fire and ambulance services were also called to the scene.
The incident involved a bmw and a jeep, which had flipped onto its side.
The driver of the jeep, a 75-year-old man, was trapped and had to be cut out by fire services.
After being checked over by paramedics the man was taken to James Cook University hospital, but there are no reports of life-threatening injuries.
The road was reopened at around 1pm after the vehicles were recovered.
