TRIBUTES have been paid to a man who collapsed outside a Stockton bar earlier this week.

The family of Liam Lincoln, who was born in Middlesbrough and was living in Thornaby, have paid tribute to him and have asked for time to grieve in peace.

His family said: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our son, and brother, Liam Lincoln and we request that we are left to grieve in peace at this sad time.”

Officers had been flagged down by ambulance service colleagues who were treating the 30-year-old on Stockton High Street just after midnight on Monday. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Cleveland Police said a post mortem was held on Tuesday and further tests are being carried out.

  • Two men aged 20 and 22 were arrested in connection with the incident. They have both been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
