A SECOND person has been arrested after a man who was walking his dog was stabbed on Sunday.

At around 9.20pm, police contacted the ambulance service to the reports of a man with stab injuries in the Garden Village area of Richmond, North Yorkshire.

A 27-year-old man from Colburn was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and currently remains in police custody.

However, another 27-year-old from Catterick Garrison has been arrested in connection with the serious assault.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may of witnessed the incident, or anyone who has any information which could assist their enquiries, to contact them.

The second man has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
