A MOTORCYCLIST was injured after a collision in a road traffic accident on Sunday morning.
Brandon Lane, in Brandon, near Durham, was closed, after the man riding a Honda motorbike collided with a Land Rover Freelander.
Emergency services were called to the scene and police said the road was shut shortly after 11.30am.
It happened between Brandon Cricket Club and Station Avenue.
The biker, who is believed to be in his 30’s, is not thought to be seriously hurt but requires medical treatment for his injuries.
No-one in the Land Rover was hurt.
A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “There are injuries but we are not classing it as serious.”
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident but no-one has been arrested at this stage.
