Police are urging people to "do the right thing"
A VULNERABLE elderly woman has lost a substantial amount of money after withdrawing her pension in Newton Aycliffe town centre.
Police are asking anyone who may have the money to hand it in to officers.
A spokesperson for the force said: "If you find it please do the right thing and hand it in to Newton Aycliffe Police Station, or contact PCSO Jen Atkinson via 101. Thank you."
