PERSPIRING pooches have been treated to special doggie ice-cream to help them keep cool in the hot weather.
The dog-friendly ice-cream has been designed as a complementary feed and has been sold at Guisborough Forest and Walkway since Monday as the heatwaves continues.
“They’ve gone down fantastically well,” said Karen Preston, Cultural Services Co-ordinator at Guisborough Forest.
“We’re really popular with dog-walkers and we always have water for them and very dog friendly facilities. We just thought, ‘dogs get hot too and they deserve a cool treat as much as the humans.’”
'Scoop’s’ ice-cream for dogs contains glucosamine for joint care, vitamin c and a natural anti-inflammatory as wells as reduced fat and sugar content.
