A SECTION of the A171 was closed following reports of a crane that was blocking the road.
At around 8.20am on Tuesday, the eastbound section of Birk Brow Road was closed, blocking traffic access from Margrove Road to Stanghow Road.
The block was understood to have affected traffic travelling towards Whitby, North Yorkshire.
At 12.10pm the incident was 'resolved'.
