"Durham Photographic Society hopes to attract new members and will be showing examples of their work and discussing their hobby with visitors on Thursday August 1.

"The club membership ranges from experienced photographers who have had success in international exhibitions and competitions and experts in specific branches of photography to keen beginners keen to improve their hobby.

"The weekly programme includes talks by visiting leading photographers, competitions and shows by members and in addition there are monthly photo assignments to North-East locations and print exhibitions in the area.
