A MAN who suffered a stab wound to the chest during an incident in Darlington two weeks ago is recovering from his injury, police have confirmed.
Earlier this month, Kelsie Louise Godfrey appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe following the stabbing of a 35-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday, July 2.
The court heard that the man suffered a single stab wound to his chest at Godfrey’s home address in Warwick Square.
Miss Godfrey, who sobbed throughout the hearing, was denied bail by magistrates.
Last night, Durham Police confirmed that the man is now recovering at home.
A spokeswoman said: “The alleged victim has been released from hospital and is recuperating at home.”
- The 19-year-old is due to appear before Teesside Crown Court later this month.
