A MAN has been jailed following a knifepoint robbery at a bookmakers in a town centre.

John Robert Connon, 31, was arrested after a knifepoint robbery at Ladbrokes on Corporation Road in Middlesbrough on Saturday, June 1. 

Cannon of Middlesbrough pleaded guilty to the offence, and was jailed for two years.
