A NEW business in the heart of Bishop Auckland is tempting customers with something a bit different.

If your sweet tooth isn’t being satisfied, Temptations is ready to bring you a unique experience. Just opened at 160 Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, the café is modelled on an American-style diner, with the emphasis on desserts.

Tempting treats such as a variety of scrumptious cakes, waffles, and cheesecakes, should keep everyone happy, and, if you can’t make it into the diner to relish the whole experience, Temptations is unique in offering a dessert delivery service.

Customers are welcome to sit-in and enjoy the stateside experience, or buy from the diner to eat out. For those who want to sample the delights of the stars and stripes menu at home, Temptations will bring their sweet treats to you.

Manager, Ashleigh Singlewood said: “Not only are we thrilled to open our American-style diner in Bishop Auckland, we are also delighted to be able to offer our delicious desserts through a delivery service, to the residents and companies in the area. No-one else, locally, offers this service, so we are looking forward to satisfying the sweet-toothed cravings of our customers.

“We have our own delivery team and refrigerated, branded van, so customers can order direct from us either by phone or through the website.”

Deliveries can be made to individual households, or Temptations will cater for businesses or events, with a platter selection.

If your preference is for something hot, the diner is also serving a selection of savouries, such as sandwiches, paninis and quiches.

Hot and cold drinks include milkshakes and a Barista, with a tropical treat of freshly-squeezed orange juice made with oranges shipped in especially from Egypt.

The premises of the diner have been completely stripped back and refurbished in an orange, grey, black and white theme by Spray Technologies Bespoke, which specialises in transforming dated interiors.
