CIRCUS ACTS, angelic visitors and a friendly dinosaur will help entertain children at a summer music festival.

Organisers of Hardwick Live Festival have revealed a host of acts for youngsters at the event, which will be at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, on August 17 and 18.

Festival-goers of all ages can try skills including trapeze, unicycles, hula hoops and juggling in a circus school tent.

There will also be art and craft workshops and The Vegetable Nannies will make healthy eating fun and families can enjoy a Punch and Judy show on Saturday.

A number of acts will move around the site, including the Submercycle on Saturday– which takes children on a story-led bike ride.

On Sunday look out for the Segway Angels and Roarsome the friendly dinosaur roaming the grounds.

Popular entertainer The Bubbleologist will stage shows and families can buy wristbands for a young children’s inflatable area.

John Adamson, who owns Hardwick Hall Hotel, believes Hardwick Live Festival is a fantastic day out for families.

He said: "We have some really unique acts showcasing their talents over the weekend and I think they will bring a great energy to the event.

“The festival has something for all ages, whether people are staying for the whole weekend or planning a day trip, and there are some fantastic things to see and do this year across the whole grounds.”

The festival line-up includes Manic Street Preachers, James, The Zutons, Lisa Stansfield, Stiff Little Fingers, Ziggy Marley, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge, Billy Bragg, The Sherlocks and The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club.

There will also be a dance arena, DJs, comedy, yoga and food and drink.
