TWELVE men are in custody following a disturbance ahead of the funeral of a traveller who was killed on the A66 last month.
The men have all been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Officers were on scene immediately as the incident took place, outside the Queen Victoria Pub on Yarm Road, Stockton, at about 1.15pm on Tuesday, not far from St Peter's Church, where the funeral of Tom Harker took place.
Mr Harker was driving a horsebox when he was involved in a crash on the A66 near Sadberge last month.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident and officers would ask any witnesses to get in touch with them should they have information on 101."
