Police are investigating
A PEDESTRIAN was taken to hospital in a critical condition after she was hit by a delivery truck.
The 60-year-old woman was seriously injured after the collision at 12.45pm today in Northumberland Square, North Shields and was rushed to hospital.
She remains in a critical condition.
An investigation is ongoing and police are keen for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who has dashcam footage, to come forward.
