A SCHOOL has been awarded Champion Status from the National Citizen Service (NCS) for their support of the skills-building summer programme.
Wolsingham School has been given the accolade from the royal chartered NCS programme, which supports young people’s transition to adulthood by developing their life-skills.
41 students from Wolsingham School signed up to take part in last year’s summer programme which is open to 16 and 17 year olds.
Katie McCluskey, NCS recruitment coordinator, said: “Wolsingham School provide fantastic support to NCS each year and their students are excited to take on the opportunity.
"The staff pull out all the stops to ensure they and parents are aware of the programme, and this is evident by the number of students that signed up to take part last summer."
Year 11 students can book now for £35 at NCSYES.co.uk and bursaries are available.
