POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a motorist suffered internal injuries as the result of a collision between two cars.
The incident happened on Port Clarence Road, Port Clarence, Middlesbrough, at 11.05am on Thursday, March 21.
A Hyundai I-load was travelling along the road, towards Haverton Hill Road and an Audi A4 was travelling towards the A178 Seaton Carew Road when the accident occurred.
Officers are also appealing for dashcam footage from passing motorists.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "The two vehicles collided near Palm Terrace, causing extensive damage to the front of both.
"The Audi driver suffered internal injuries and he received treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees."
Anyone who was in the area at the time or who captured the collision on dashcam is asked to contact PC Ian Largan of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit via the 101 number quoting Event 47280.
