A SECOND man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Northallerton jewellery shop.
North Yorkshire Police say the 49-year-old was detained by officers in Redcar earlier today (Friday, March 22) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery at Bradley's Jewellers on March 11.
The man is currently being held in police custody while detectives carry out their enquiries.
Earlier this week, Victor Okumu, 38, of Queen Street, Lazenby, was charged with robbing Bradley's Jewellers in the town on March 11.
Mr Okumu was arrested in Fareham, Hampshire, on March 16 and appeared at York Magistrates' Court this week.
His case was sent to York Crown Court where he will appear on April 15.
