HOUSEHOLDERS are being reminded to lock homes, vehicles and sheds following a spate of burglaries in Redcar.
A property on Newton Road was targeted at around 9pm on Sunday when someone entered the address and stole a mobile phone, purse, and medication. The purse has been recovered but the remainder has not been found.
And overnight Sunday someone walked into a property on Coniston Avenue and stole a high value green and black Giant Fathom Glacier pedal cycle which has not yet been recovered.
Another pedal cycle and a set of house/car keys which were in the front door were stolen from a house in Rydal Avenue at around 11pm. This bike has been recovered but the keys were not.
In Grasmere Road someone entered a garage at around 11.30pm on Sunday, stealing a mobility scooter, alcohol and battery chargers. The scooter and alcohol were recovered.
On Monday a suspect entered a house on Trent Road via an insecure back door. He was disturbed by the occupants and fled empty handed.
Witnesses are asked to call Cleveland Police on 101 with information.
