Several vehicles have been involved in an accident on the A19 near Hartlepool
TWO lanes of the A19 was blocked on Thursday morning following an accident involving several vehicles.
The accident happened on the northbound carriageway between A179 (Sheraton junction, Sheraton) and A181 (Castle Eden Intrerchange, Eden Vale).
All lanes have now been reopened.
A Durham Police spokesperson said at the time of the incident: "We received reports at 8.10am to reports of a five-vehicle accident on the northbound carriage of the A19 between Hutton Henry and Wellfield.
"There are no reports of any serious injuries. The accident initially left two lanes of the carriageway blocked."
