TWO men have been arrested after their were allegedly spotted trying to break into houses and cars.
The 43-year-old and 32-year-old were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary after being seen acting suspiciously in Sunderland.
Police were called at about 4.30am on Friday to report of two people who were reportedly seen trying to break into houses and cars in the Grangetown area.
The men were arrested and remain in police custody.
They are assisting officer with their enquiries.
Police are keen to hear from any residents, particularly those living in the Aylesford Mews area, to get in touch if they witnessed anything suspicious in the early hours of this morning.
