A WORLD famous club brand and some of the UK’s best known DJs will perform at this summer's Hardwick Live music festival.

The festival at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, on August 17 and 18 will be headlined by Manic Street Preachers and James. Organisers have now announced that Ibiza-founded Glitterbox will entertain festival-goers in a new dance arena, which will be created in the hotel’s Coachhouse Courtyard.

DJ and producer Joey Negro will headline on Saturday and there will be sets from Horse Meat Disco and The Shapeshifter. On Sunday, the space will be the residence of Retro with headliner Jeremy Healy and sets from Paul Taylor, DJ Brandon Block and Chris Bungoni.

John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which runs Hardwick Live Festival, believes the new arena has great appeal.

“We’re delighted to welcome Glitterbox and Retro at this year’s event,” said John.

“The DJs are always a big part of the festival and we’re really excited to welcome the new dance arena this year.

“We’re always looking at ways to expand the event and give festival-goers even more to do over the weekend and we expect the Courtyard to be very popular.”

The line-up for this summer’s event includes a number of big-name acts, with The Zutons, Stiff Little Fingers, Sister Sledge feat Kathy Sledge, The Sherlocks, Lisa Stansfield, Ziggy Marley, Billy Bragg and A Certain Ratio all performing on the main stage across the weekend.

Tickets for this year’s Hardwick Live Festival are currently on sale at £55 for one day or £99 for both days. Concessions are available for children and 13-17-year-olds.
