A BOY was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus.
The seven-year-old pedestrian was involved in the collision on Windsor Road, Birtley, near Chester-le-Street, at 4pm on Wednesday.
Northumbria Police said officers were called to the scene.
