FOOTBALL fans put their differences aside to pay tribute to Luke Jobson whose body was found in Yarm last month.
Thousands of Middlesbrough and Leeds fans gave a minute's applause midway through the first half of the match at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The applause was timed for the 22nd minute to represent Mr Jobson's age and both sets of supporters in the sell-out stadium fully supported the tribute.
A major search took place for Mr Jobson after he went missing after a night out in Yarm in the early hours of January 26.
His body was found by police the following Monday.
Six people were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and later released by police under investigation.
A crowdfunding page set up to help Mr Jobson's family raised more than £50,000.
