LOVERS of horror are being tempted to take on a terrifying challenge to give an added twist to St Valentine's Day.

Scream Factory, the award winning team behind the Halloween Horror spectacle, are presenting a three-night special from February 14.

So if you want to swap a romantic meal for the chance to 'swipe left or right' with someone living in the murky shadows – this is the event for you.

Stephen Tate, managing director said: “My Bloody Valentine’s features all the sets and characters, visitors know and love from Halloween, but as you’ve never seen them before.”

The special Valentine’s event impressed judges at the European Scare Awards last summer, going up against some of the biggest haunts in the UK to win ‘Best Out of Season Event.’ He added: “Last year’s event was a huge success so we knew we had to bring it back. It’s still scary but with a very funny Valentine’s twist. We guarantee you’ll come out holding someone’s hand no matter which way you swipe.”

The event is also on the hunt for anyone interested in popping the question to their loved one and promises a unique setting for the surprise.

Katy Tate, marketing manager for Scream Factory said: “In the past we’ve hosted Zombie Weddings and had a bride surprise her bridal party by hiding in the graveyard.

“We have a range of options available for anyone celebrating a special occasion at the event or who wishes to propose – they just need to drop us a message.”

Scream Factory, based behind Kirkleatham Museum, near Redcar, opens on February 14, 15 and 16 from 7pm and tickets are available to purchase now from £20 per person at www.screamfactory.co.uk
