A ROBBER – armed with a hammer and a screwdriver – is being hunted after raiding a shop.
The robbery took place at around 6.30am on Sunday, January 27 at the local Sainsbury’s store on Ennis Square, Dormanstown, near Redcar.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "A male suspect described as being aged in his mid to late thirties, around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build entered the store carrying a hammer and screwdriver and threatened those inside before stealing a large amount of cash and making off from the scene.
"He was wearing a luminous yellow Huntsman three-quarter length coat, a blue hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers."
Police confirmed that no one was hurt during the incident.
