TEENAGE singing sensation Courtney Hadwin will be taking part in a spin-off of America’s Got Talent.
The 14-year-old of Hesleden, near Peterlee, who reached the talent show’s final last year, is set to appear on America’s Got Talent: The Champions.
The news comes weeks after it was revealed she had signed with Simon Cowell’s record label.
She wowed audiences across the pond with energetic covers of hits including Otis Redding’s Hard to Handle, Tina Turner’s River Deep, Mountain High, and James Brown’s Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.
Hadwin, who will appear in the latest show’s second episode next Monday may find herself appearing alongside the Scottish singer Susan Boyle, 57, who shot to fame after finishing runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.
At the show’s debut this week, Boyle reprised her hit cover of the Rolling Stones’ Wild Horses. Judge Mel B pressed her golden buzzer, meaning she progresses through to the finals.
The latest series brings together former winners and standout acts from different versions of the show from around the world.
