A WOMAN has been attacked while walking her dog.
Northumbria Police are appealing for information following the incident at about 9.40pm last night.
An unknown male approached the 34-year-old victim in the Isabella Heap area of Blyth, where he grabbed her from behind.
The man was then bitten by the woman’s dog and fled the scene. He is described as having a local accent and was wearing a pair of dark, fluffy gloves. A police spokesperson said: "Uniformed Officers will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area and we would like to reassure the community that there is no risk to the wider public at this time."
