A CHARITY helping disadvantaged young people is looking to help more people diagnosed with dyspraxia.

Roseberry Community Consortium, based in Stockton, delivers a support group aimed at adults and parents and children as well as free workshops, activities and advice.

In January, they will be holding a workshop "Introduction to Disc jockey" open to all ages with a diagnosis of dyspraxia. They will also be delivering a workshop on Friday, January 11, between 5pm and 7pm at Arc, Stockton.

Organiser Pritthijit Datta said: "We will be delivering a handwriting workshop aimed at parents and dyspraxic children starting in 2019. The demand for the workshop is very high. Dyspraxic children do struggle in handwriting. The workshop will improve their handwriting skills. Details of venue and dates will be confirmed later.

"We will be introducing a new youth social action project aimed at 13 to 25 years affected by dyspraxia or other related conditions. The project will empower individuals to design a project that would benefit the whole community like teaching a new skill, start a drop in centre."
