A SCHOOL is to remain closed again today, Thursday, after a water leak forced it to send nearly 1,500 pupils home on Tuesday.
Egglescliffe School said as engineers attempted to fit a new pipe yesterday afternoon following the leak on Tuesday it 'severely ruptured' and was unable to be fixed overnight.
The damaged pipe is the main water supply into the school, which is currently without any water supply.
A parents' evening and mock exams have been reschedule.
The school said engineers were 'confident' they could fix the leak today and expected the school to be open as usual tomorrow, Friday.
