FIRE: The car was set on fire in Silverdale Place, Newton Aycliffe
A CAR was set on fire in a suspected arson attack.
The black Volkswagen Golf was parked outside an address in Silverdale Place, in Newton Aycliffe, when it was set on fire at around 11.40pm on Thursday, November 15.
The fire was seen by police officers who were on patrol in the area.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of arson shortly after, and has been released under investigation.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who has any information on the incident, or any CCTV footage which may help the investigation.
