A SEVEN-year-old girl was hit by a white sports car in an Asda car park.

But the driver failed to leave her details after reversing into the child in the Stockton car park, causing bruising to her leg.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to help trace the woman.

The seven-year-old was with her grandmother and nine-year-old friend near the main entrance of the Portrack Lane store when a car, described as a new white sports car, reversed out of the parking bay, hitting the child.

The female driver, described as in her late 50s to early 60s with a bob-style haircut, spoke with the child's grandmother but then left the scene without giving her details.

The incident took place on Saturday, November 10 at about 2.15pm.

The car registration possibly ends with DCK or OCK and police want to hear from the driver, anyone who has the registration number or anyone who witnessed the incident.
