DELAYS: Three vehicles crashed on the A1(M) between Bowburn and Carville, near Durham, this afternoon
THERE were long delays on the A1 motorway on Wednesday evening following a crash near Durham.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision on the northbound carriageway between Bowburn and Carrville.
Police shut the road but it is understood all vehicles have now been recovered and the route reopened.
Motorists were still experiencing congestion on the A1(M), A688 and A690.
