A MAN was stabbed in a garden on Tuesday night.
The 29-year-old was injured outside a house, on Sunnyside Avenue, Shildon, County Durham, at about 9.20pm.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with multiple stab wounds which are not described as life threatening.
A 29-year old man has since been arrested on suspicion of assault with intent, causing grievous bodily harm.
Detective Constable Jeremy Downing, of Bishop Auckland CID,said: “I would like to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident, and we do not believe there is any threat to the wider community.I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us as soon as possible.”
