BLUR and Gorillaz singer Damon Albarn has announced a series of intimate North East gigs with his The Good, The Bad and The Queen supergroup.
The band– which also features The Clash’s Paul Simonon, The Verve’ s Simon Tong and legendary afrobeat drummer Tony Allen– will perform in Blackpool, Glasgow and London in late November and early December
This week they announced three intimate warm-up shows on Tyneside, for audiences of less than 100.
They will play at Tynemouth CIU Club on Monday, November 26, then at Cullercoats Crescent Club on Tuesday, November 27 and Wednesday, November 28.
The band recently made a rare live appearance on Late With Jools Holland, performing two songs from their new album Merrie Land which is released on November 16.
As soon as details of the North Shields gigs were released, tickets started selling fast.
