A DECISION on an application to review the premises licence of a County Durham pizza shop ‘used as a youth club’ has been deferred.
Durham County Council’s statutory licensing sub-committee met this week to discuss the application regarding Best Kebab One, in Bishop Auckland.
Durham Police requested the review of the premises licence as it raised a raft of concerns including the employment of suspected illegal workers and its use as an unofficial youth club.

Its application was given the backing of Mark Quinn, of Durham Local Safeguarding Children Board.
However, the case was adjourned on Tuesday until December 4 as the licence holder had been transferred from current premises licence holder, Rafiq Sala, into the name of Zahier Hussein Ahmed.
