A MUSEUM came to life with all things spooky for a special Halloween treat on Wednesday.
Children dressed up in their deadliest outfits for the event at The Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle.
Activities were formed around the museum's collections with everything from ghost hunts in and around the museum to Halloween-themed games and getting messy with arts and crafts.
A museum spokeswoman said: “The children had great fun hunting for ghosts and exploring the museum collections as well as watching a spooky science show. They also enjoyed arts and crafts and playing games.”
