AN ASPIRING young photographer has won a place in a prestigious book with her image of a brass band caught in a reflection of tuba.
Hannah Faith-Jackson was the youth class winner in the Living the View class of the Landscape Photographer of the Year with her image Band on the Run.
The 17-year-old said: “At the 2017 Great North Run I was the official post-race photographer for a large charity and noticed this band playing outside the Help for Heroes tent.
“I was fascinated by the way one instrument could contain a whole band.”
Last year, Hannah scooped the same class for her image of Tobermory, on the Isle of Jackson, Scotland.
The adult class, overall winner this year was Peter Rowbottom who impressed the judges with his striking image taken in Glencoe, Scotland.
Landscape Photographer of the Year: Collection 12 (AA publishing) is now on sale for £25.
