PEOPLE with physical and learning disabilities can find out more about getting into employment at a free event this month.

The Fulfilling Lives event will take place at New College Durham on Thursday October 25 between 10am and 1pm and hopes to encourage disabled people to become part of every work place.

Lee Alexander, Durham County Council’s head of adult care, said: “Fulfilling Lives is all about the talented disabled people who live in our communities being able to fully compliment the rich and diverse workforce which every business and work place needs.

“The event is a great way for carers and people with physical and or learning disabilities to come together to seek the latest information, advice and support from across the region."

Over 50 market stalls will offer information and advice about education, training and employment, and key speakers will inspire people with disabilities to consider taking their next steps.
