A DRINK-driver reported to police after driving in an 'erratic manner' and swerving all over the road has been handed a 20-month ban.
Wayne Harmer, 39, of Bates Avenue, Newton Aycliffe, pleaded guilty to drink driving when he appeared before magistrates in the town yesterday.
Prosecuting, Ami Todd said he was pulled over by police after 'numerous near-misses' and was found to be almost twice the drink-drive limit.
Harmer made a 'grave error' driving home after a drink with a friend, having split from his partner.
The warehouse operative was banned from driving for 20 months and offered a place on a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
